A highly experienced Executive leader with a proven track record in transforming complex organisations. As CEO I’ve led health, social care and housing companies with 1500+ staff teams, across multiple geographies, successfully, through challenging times. Working within companies with turnovers of between 50-170 million, my achievements include turning around significant losses and failing services to achieve profitability, multi-million pound growth and high quality services. I’ve led companies through mergers and acquisitions, creating new operating models, positive cultures and aligning people with strategic direction, vision and values.
An executive coach and mentor, I’m highly skilled at leadership development and creating high performing teams. I work with executives and senior leaders to support them to gain strategic leadership skills essential for organisational transformation.
I have extensive Board governance experience, having been Executive Director, non-Executive Director and Board Chair.
A qualified Social worker with a Masters in social policy, I have 35 years expertise in both Childrens and Adults social care and multi sectoral experience having worked within not for profit and private sector organisations, Housing Associations, Charities, Local Authorities and the UK Government. This breadth of experience has given me a unique insight into different organisational cultures and practice.
A social care expert, I have implemented UK wide government programmes and national policy campaigns for leading children’s charities and Influenced policy and legislative changes UK wide. This included serving several ministerial committees and advising the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit. My expertise is creating high quality services that deliver great outcomes for people by aligning my personal and professional values with my commercial business approach.
I am driven to achieve high standards and have re-shaped services to reflect best practice and financial sustainability in line with market changes and social demands. These achievements have been realised by creating high performing teams, partnerships and collaborations, valuing colleagues and creating learning organisations that open up possibilities for development and career progression.
